Today was very educational. We went shopping for a pair of runners for my sister. Once we reached the sneaker aisle we were approached by a dude that worked at Rebel sport, who told us we were in the wrong aisle if we were looking for runners. Well they sure looked like runners to me. I didn't know there were different types of runners. Well apparently there are, because I discovered you can get rainy weather sneakers, sand shoes, walking shoes, even uphill and downhill shoes! Obviously only a fanatical runner would bother to have such a technical diversity in their running shoe closet. But what would happen if they were to run up a hill in their uphill shoes, they then have to run back down it in their uphill shoes, defeating the purpose of having uphill shoes in the first place.
So I decided you would need to run up the hill in your uphill shoes, carrying a backpack containing your downhill shoes, so that you could swap over when it was time to go down the hill. But then another thought struck me. What if it started to rain while you were running down the hill? You couldn't wear downhill shoes because it's raining but you can't wear your rainy weather sneakers because it's downhill. Do you wear one rainy weather sneaker and one downhill shoe?
Or have they created downhill rainy weather sneakers?
